London’s newest legal arbitration centre supported by leading AV technology

A new, world-leading arbitration facility has been opened in London. The International Arbitration Centre (IAC) offers an exclusive hearing space in the heart of the capital, providing clients with an unrivalled venue to hold commercial disputes and negotiations in complete privacy and five-star comfort.

The premier facility based in the centre of London’s legal district, uses cutting edge technology and worked with Cambridge-based AV supplier, buk Solutions, to deliver the best possible experience for its clients.

buk Solutions, a company that has worked with top security agencies and the court system throughout England and Wales, were commissioned to support the centre’s design and installation, ensuring that all hearings taking place at the IAC would be encrypted and protected by military grade security to guarantee client privacy.

The demanding requirements for both high level of security and user privacy warranted careful consideration when designing the IAC’s network and recording systems.

Owen Lawrence, CEO at the International Arbitration Centre, said: “London is a premier legal hub and it now has probably the world’s leading venue for conducting arbitration hearings.

“Working with buk Solutions, we looked at what lawyers needed in terms of the communications and recording technology and fitted all the operations in and around that to create the world’s leading hearing venue.”

Duncan Conway, AV Project Manager at buk Solutions, said: “We’re extremely proud to have been chosen to deliver the AV technology for this unique facility which we will also be supporting around the clock.”

In any environment, whether it be at a conference, board room or court room, it is essential that those in the space can see the person who is speaking. In these scenarios, the most practical method of tracking the speaker is to direct the camera to the microphone location using camera control software.
