Team Expansion & Recent Events
November brings the annual World Travel Market conference back to the Excel in London. Every year since 1980, industry leaders have met to discuss the future of travel.
We were delighted to have bee involved again this year providing simultaneous interpretation into French & Spanish. Having worked with this client and in this venue on numerous occasions, everything ran as expected and efficiently as with previous years.
We were recently contacted by a London based law firm regarding a case which required multiple languages to be heard in the court room along with a PTZ camera system, so that the council joining remotely from overseas could see and hear what was happening in court. If you have an upcoming case where the usual whispered interpretation is insufficient, please contact us to discuss your options with simultaneous interpretation.
Expansion of the BUK team
Since our last mailout calling for applicants, we have now recruited for various positions in our sales & rentals departments. Please join us in welcoming the following team members:
Louie Leung – Conference Technician
Del Nunez – Conference Technician
Pete Marusarz – AV Specialist
Otis Kingsman – Trainee AV Specialist
We have recently completed a big upgrade for the University of Surrey. Their interpreter training facility was nearly 10 years old and in need of a refresh.
We have brought them fully up to date with a state-of-the-art Brahler Simultaneous interpretation system and a new Kramer AVoIP video distribution and control interface.
Our client selected buk solutions to provide equipment with Dutch, French, German, Spanish, Czech and Polish teams of interpreters for their annual European works council meeting in London.
The equipment includes a full 6 booth digital interpretation system with 25 push to talk delegate microphones connected to our automated PTZ dome camera solution.

In any environment, whether it be at a conference, board room or court room, it is essential that those in the space can see the person who is speaking. In these scenarios, the most practical method of tracking the speaker is to direct the camera to the microphone location using camera control software.
