The UK government hosted the fourth European Political Community Meeting (EPC) at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire on 18 July 2024.

buk Solutions delivered technical solutions for the European Political Community (EPC) meeting held at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire on July 18, 2024. Chosen by Identity Group, they supplied interpretation equipment, delegate push-to-talk microphone systems, and automated PTZ camera systems. Furthermore, buk Solutions deployed a skilled team of project managers and technicians to ensure comprehensive support for the event throughout the Blenheim Palace venue.

The UK Prime Minister welcomed leaders at his first major UK-led summit of his premiership from across the continent to the birthplace of Winston Churchill and UNESCO World Heritage Site for the meeting on the 18 July 2024.

The EPC meeting with approximately 50 leaders from various European nations to collaborate on significant issues. This forum enables European countries to advance discussions that impact the entire continent, while also facilitating bilateral talks and smaller working groups focused on specific nations. The leaders will discussed some of the pressing issues facing Europe, including international support for Ukraine and matters concerning illegal immigration and security cooperation.

By leveraging the expertise and experience of buk Solutions technical support we successfully installed full interpretation and multiple microphone systems, PTZ camera solutions, including an interpretation hub, with the interpreted audio distributed across a site-wide Dante network.

The interpretation hub located within the “Stables” contained 6 dual interpreter booths, a listening room and dante enable equipment to facilitate interpretation across a Dante network to a number of temporary structures which included, the Main Plenary meeting space, Press Conferences and 4 additional rooms.

The main plenary meeting room was a focal point of the site as its where the world leaders congregated. It featured our popular state of the art automated Brahler microphone system, Sony PTZ cameras and Televic IR transmission system.

Each meeting room had specific interpretation needs, along with delegate push-to-talk microphones and automated PTZ camera systems. Throughout the event, the network had to be restructured at various times to accommodate the changing room configurations and ensure that the appropriate languages were delivered to each room’s unique requirements.

The meeting was highly successful, featuring the participation of 50 world leaders, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, French President Emmanuel Macron, and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. The central theme was European unity in support of Ukraine, complemented by three roundtable discussions focused on migration, energy, and the defending and securing of democracy.
